Universal Mardi Gras is an annual event held at theme park in Orlando, Florida. The event features live music, colorful parades, and Cajun-inspired food. Mardi Gras 2023 is included with park admission, but some events and experiences may require additional tickets. Mardi Gras 2023 is a time to celebrate with friends and family. What to expect of Universal™ Mardi Gras 2023?

Visitors can expect to experience the vibrant and lively atmosphere of Mardi Gras 2023. Universal™ Mardi Gras 2023 will take place from February 4th to April 16th, 2023. The core of the celebration is a glittering parade with colorful performers and flying beads on select nights. There are also traditional Cajun delights available inspired by Carnaval celebrations all over the world. Mardi Gras 2023 included some experiences, such as the Mardi Gras Float Ride and Dine Experience, may have required additional tickets. Also, some special shows and concerts may also require a separate ticket.

Don’t Miss the Spectacular Parade

The dazzling floats will be rolling, the colorful performers will be moving to the beat, and the beads will be flying. This year’s parade features traditional floats plus six all-new floats straight from New Orleans and the party will bounce!

Float Riding

You haven’t experienced Mardi Gras until you’ve experienced it from atop one of our spectacular floats. Toss beads to the crowd while you make your way through the streets for an unforgettable time. A limited number of spots are available per night.

A Marvelous Mardi Gras 2023 Parade

One of the event’s main highlights is the Mardi Gras parade, which features dazzling floats, live music, colorful costumes, and flying beads. This year’s Mardi Gras parade theme “Mythical Realms of Mardi Gras” is a brand-new parade theme that has inspired six brand-new floats.The parade is usually held several times per day and features a variety of themes, including traditional Mardi Gras, pop culture, and Universal Studios franchises like Harry Potter, so don’t miss the spectacular Universal™ Mardi Gras Parade.

The parade includes several large and elaborate floats, each of which is decorated with colorful lights, beads, and other decorations. A variety of performers, including stilt walkers, dancers, and live musicians, accompany the floats, adding to the festive atmosphere of the event.  The parade route usually runs through the park and can be seen from a variety of viewpoints. Visitors should also expect to catch beads, doubloons, and other trinkets thrown from the parade floats. Throughout the Mardi Gras season, the parade will take place on specific dates:

How to ride on a Parade Float at Universal Orlando™ Mardi Gras 2023?

The Mardi Gras Float Ride and Dine Experience will be a totally new experience for Mardi Gras 2023 at Universal Orlando™. Get a spot on a parade float and toss beads into the crowd. In addition, enjoy a three-course meal from the full menu at one of four participating restaurants at Universal Orlando Resort™. To ride on a float in the parade, you will have to purchase a special parade pass. The parade pass will grant you access to ride on one of the floats during a designated parade time.

In addition to the parade, Universal™ Mardi Gras 2023 also features live music performances by popular artists, including both national and local acts. Guests can enjoy concerts at the Music Plaza Stage. These concerts are free with park admission and have previously started at 8.30 pm, but showtimes for 2023 have not yet been announced.

Incredible food from all over the World

The Mardi Gras festivities extend to CityWalk with specially-themed food and drink offerings in a number of venues. Be sure to check out The After Party and Fat Tuesday at Pat O’Brien’s. The Mardi Gras party has also taken over the Red Coconut Club and transformed it into the Cursed Coconut Club.

The delicious Cajun-inspired food available throughout the park is another highlight of the event. Traditional dishes such as gumbo, jambalaya, and beignets, as well as other regional specialties, are available to visitors.
