The City Beautiful plays host to some epic gay events. These two annual LGBTQIA+ festivals are ones not to miss!

#1 One Magical Weekend 

When: May, 30 – June, 3, 2024 Where: Select Walt Disney World Resorts, Orlando

With 10 LGBTQIA+ events planned across Disney Springs, House of Blues, Sheraton Orlando Lake Buena Vista Resort, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, and Walt Disney World Resort, the annual Pride and Music festival is back with a vibrant bang!

Thousands of fun-loving revelers will plunge down the water rides of Typhoon Lagoon for the signature RIPTIDE party, so get ready for some wet ‘n’ wild fun! With over 6,000 partygoers in attendance, you can soak up the epic rides of this 52-acre fantasy water park, kick back with drinks, and dance to live electric beats or thrilling sounds from world-renowned DJs.

On Saturday night, volumes your evening with Red Vol. VII at House of Blues in Disney Springs, followed by the Main Event Party on Sunday. One Magical Weekend will also be hosting daily Therapy Pool Parties at Sheraton Lake Buena Vista Resort and CADABRA Afterhours Dance parties (21+) at the same resort – promising a fabulous weekend you won’t forget!

#2 Orlando Gay Pride

When: October, 2024 (dates, TBD) Where: Orlando, with the Gay Pride Parade & party events at Lake Eola

The annual “Come Out with Pride” Parade and Festival returns to Orlando this October, offering an unforgettable multi-day experience. Enjoy everything from drag theater and comedy nights to a spectacular coming-out concert!


The festival kicks off with an opening ceremony and week-long events, culminating in the main Gay Pride Parade, live performances, and party events on Saturday. This celebration takes place along the scenic shoreline of Lake Eola in downtown Orlando, starting at lunchtime. The Orlando Pride Parade typically begins around 4 pm, starting from Orange Ave at Washington Street in downtown Orlando.

Families can enjoy the dedicated family fun zone, while food vendors and cash-only bars cater to all tastes. Shopaholics will find plenty to explore at the Come Out With Pride Marketplace, featuring over 150 LGBTQ-friendly brands.


The festivities include an evening dinner and a fireworks grand finale along the Lake Eola promenade. There’s also an opportunity to party at Club H2O on Lake Eola’s International Bridge. Beyond the festival, gay Orlando offers plenty of exciting nightlife and activities to enjoy well into the night!

Going Out in Gay Orlando

As the sun sets across Orlando, the vibrant buzz of the city’s best gay venues begins. Make sure you take some time during your stay to explore these great gay-friendly spots!

The welcoming downtown area is a popular destination for the LGBTQ and LGBTQIA+ community, offering incredible live entertainment and a variety of dance clubs. Enjoy a fabulous drag show while savoring a gourmet burger and drinks at Hamburger Mary’s Bar & Grill in the Church Street District.


For burlesque enthusiasts, the monthly Peek a Boo show at the Stardust Lounge, next to Lake Eola Park, is a must-see. This retro basement bar, styled like a chic Vegas spot from the 60s and 70s, is home to Orlando’s longest-running burlesque show. Additionally, it hosts weekly “Dirty Bingo” and DJ sets every Friday and Saturday night, featuring 80s, Old School Hip-Hop, and Dance music. Prepare to be transported to a fun and outlandish time!

Ivanhoe Village District

Adjacent to downtown Orlando, this welcoming district is home to one of the best gay bars in the city – the Savoy Orlando. Enjoy nightly dance performances from the Men of SAVOY, enticing Happy Hour promotions, drag and DJ line-ups, billiards, and a delicious new food menu. The outdoor patio is perfect for relaxing and savoring the atmosphere, no matter the season.

The Milk District

Just 10 minutes from downtown Orlando, this trendy district is home to the popular LGBTQIA+ nightclub, Southern Nights. This multi-room dance club offers a vibrant array of weekly events, including classic college parties, Twisted Tuesdays, and Latino-inspired evenings. While in the Milk District, be sure to visit Plaza Live, one of Florida’s oldest theaters. Enjoy live performances from the Orlando Gay Chorus and a packed schedule of concerts and events.
