If you’re thinking of spending Halloween in Orlando, you’ll find frightful delights around every corner. Whether you’re looking for softer spooks for little ones, or more hardened horror for the grown ups, there are thrills galore in the theme parks and beyond.
Here’s the rundown of what’s happening where…
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Disney World
There are plenty of family-friendly thrills at Disney’s Magic Kingdom park during Halloween. On select nights from late August through October, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party offers an abundance of eerie entertainment like the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, the Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, the Cadaver Dans Barbershop Quartet and the spectacular Happy Hallowishes Fireworks Show.
Little ones can trick-or-treat throughout the park, dressed in their spookiest halloween costumes, or dance ’til they drop at the Scream-O-Ween ball that runs more or less continuously through the event.

Halloween Horror Nights
Universal Orlando Resort
Known as the nation’s premier Halloween event, Universal’s award-winning Halloween Horror Nights are for hardened horror fans. Voted one of the best Halloween events in Orlando, this spine-chilling attraction puts you at the heart of some of the scariest moments in horror history. On selected nights from September through October, the streets of Universal Studios come alive with gruesome mutants and monsters. Visitors can explore nightmarish haunted houses, terrifying street experiences, scare zones and live shows – plus many of the park’s exciting rides and attractions.
- Tickets start at around $180 plus tax
- Opening hours are around 7pm to 2am
- Not recommend for children under the age of 13
- No costumes or masks are allowed.
Brick or Treat
Legoland
If you’re visiting Legoland Florida for Halloween, you’ll find a brick load of family-friendly fun. On selected dates in October, the annual Brick or Treat event offers plenty of spooky, kooky entertainment all day throughout the park. There are multiple Lego-building activities, a costume parade, larger-than-life models, and trick or treating. There are also character meet and greets, a dance party, a costume contest, and a Halloween-themed fireworks show.
- Brick or Treat is included in park admission
- Activities run from around 11am to 5pm daily
Halloween Spooktacular
Seaworld
There are a whole load of quirky ocean-themed attractions at Seaworld’s Halloween Spooktacular. Children and adults alike can enjoy plenty of silly and spooky fun including themed live shows, trick-or-treating, a party zone and fun colouring activities. This family-friendly Halloween attraction runs every weekend from late September through October, from noon until the park closes

The Petrified Forest

The Petrified Forest Halloween trail is hailed as one of the best Halloween events in Orlando – and one of the best in the entire state. Located in Altamonte Springs, the haunted scare trails feature more than 85,000 sq ft of spine-chilling entertainment including scare zones, live performances and fright shows right in the middle of a real forest. Taking place on selected nights throughout October, the trails open at around 7pm and don’t close until the early hours of the morning.

A Zoo Boo Bash
Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens
You can ‘trick or treat’ in the wildest venue in town during the Zoo Boo Bash at Orlando’s Central Florida Zoo. Open to guests of all ages, it’s a safe, fun and not-too-scary event featuring trick-or-treat stations, face-painting, special book readings, animal workshops and costume contests.
- Events takes place on various dates through October
- Entrance is included in regular zoo admission
- Additional fee may apply for certain activities
Spooky Skate

- The venue is located on Maitland Summit Boulevard

Thornton Park Halloween Block Party
Thornton Park
There’s live music, a burlesque show, costume contests, karaoke, food trucks, DJs, MCs and full liquor bars at the annual Thornton Park Block Party. Taking place around the 29th October this party is strictly for over 21s, with all proceeds going towards the not-for-profit Thornton Park District.
